What data is collected
If you sign up for the free guide, your email address is collected. The email service may also record the date, time and IP address of your signup as proof of your consent. The website itself does not use accounts, and it does not ask for any other personal data.
Why and on what basis
Your email address is used to send you The Calmer Inbox guide and a short series of follow-up emails, and occasional emails from A Lighter Workday after that. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by writing to hello@lighterworkday.com.
Who handles your data
MailerLite provides the signup form and sends the emails. Gumroad handles checkout and delivery if you buy the book or download a guide from Gumroad. The book page (/books) loads Gumroad's checkout script from gumroad.com, so Gumroad receives technical data such as your IP address when you open that page, and it may set its own cookies when you open the checkout. Cloudflare hosts this website and provides privacy-friendly traffic statistics. These providers act on behalf of A Lighter Workday and have their own privacy policies. Some of them may process data outside the EU/EEA, using safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Analytics and cookies
This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without tracking you across sites. The website itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Cookies that Gumroad sets in its own checkout are covered by Gumroad's privacy policy.
How long data is kept
Your email address is kept until you unsubscribe. After you unsubscribe, you receive no further emails. You can ask for your data to be deleted at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to its use, and withdraw your consent. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. To use any of these rights, write to hello@lighterworkday.com.
